Indie Wire- “Game of Thrones” is gearing up for production on its final season this October, which means tidbits about the six-episode Season 8 are finally rolling in. HBO has already revealed the directors list for the series’ remaining episodes, which includes Miguel Sapochnik (“Battle of the Bastards”) and David Nutter (“The Rains of Castamere”). Considering the final season needs to include massive battles between the living and the dead, it makes sense the show has called up two of its most epic directors. But what are the budgets these directors will be working with? The answer is a huge one. Variety reports each episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 8 will cost at least $15 million, a price tag that could skyrocket even higher depending on re-shoots and additional VFX work. The number means HBO will spending $90 million or more on the final season.

Good! Spend it all. Spend every last cent of HBO’s money on this final season of Game of Thrones. There’s no point in having a giant war chest like HBO if you don’t use it. Spare no expense. there’s no reason not to. Billions of people are going to be watching every week. Give us the show we deserve after 7 years. Make the dragons actually burn me with fire when they appear. I wanna feel a sword go through my heart. I wanna think I’m getting decapitated every Sunday night. Fuck it. Make it super real. Now that I’m thinking about it, 15 million dollars per episode honestly might not be enough. There shouldn’t be a cap. The show runners have said they’re going to make every episode like a feature film. They can’t screw this up. Last season was fine and all. The ice dragon was dope as fuck. The spoiler) wall coming down wad dope as fuck. More of that. More battle scenes. More epic orgies. I hope they spend 15 million dollars on the nude scenes alone. Let’s blow this fucking out and melt faces, HBO. You can do it.
