Conan O'Brien Goes From A Soul Food Restaurant In Harlem To An Interview With Bill Clinton Proving He's The Undisputed King Of Late Night

I don’t care what the ratings are or what the media says, Conan O’Brien is hands down the funniest host in late night. Guy’s a comedic genius. Every late night show except his is a constant barrage of politics. It’s the same, “Look how dumb Trump is!” jokes over and over again. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fine to talk politics and a lot of the time its funny, but it’s at the point where you can predict the joke before it’s even said. And then there’s Conan, consistently original, always hilarious. Last night was the perfect example. It’s a day after off-year elections and he’s in a fucking chicken joint in Harlem busting up a bunch of black ladies. No writers, no planned gags, just being naturally funny. Completely authentic. None of the other late night hosts would even come close to being able to do what he did in Sylvia’s. And if you think it looks simple, try standing in front of a camera with no script, in a room full of people silently waiting on you to be funny then let me know what you think. Sylvia’s wasn’t even his strongest. There’s Conan in Berlin.

Conan in Cuba.

Conan in Ireland.

Then there’s all the inner-office-tyrant stuff. And it’s all improv. Absolutely blows my mind. Whenever I watch his show I always end up dying laughing. Not because I know what’s supposed to be a joke, which is what most comedians rely on, but because he’s actually funny. Then right after his bit he tosses himself into an interview with Bill Clinton. Only Conan.  It’s too bad NBC let him go because there’s nobody better than him. Nobody.
