The New NBA 2K is So Realistic That LeBron's Tattoo Artist is Suing, Saying They Stole His Exact Designs
The famous tattoo artist who inks up NBA stars including LeBron James, Tristan Thompsonand Danny Green is suing the company behind the NBA2K17 video game … claiming they used his art without permission.
The man behind the suit is James Hayden — a famous Cleveland-based tat artist who’s been inking up LeBron for years … and owns the copyrights on several designs he put on the NBA star. Ditto for Tristan, Danny and Kyrie Irving.
In his suit, obtained by TMZ Sports, Hayden claims he owns the copyright to Bron’s famous “Gloria” tattoo as well as his “Lion Design” and LJ’s shoulder stars.
Alright at some point in the last few years the graphics to 2K got too realistic. An old person walks by and thinks you’re watching a live game where instead you’re playing some random kid in Chicago online. You could probably have them sit down and watch you play, hide your controller, and convince them the game is on TV right now. It’s gotten to the point where it’s not even fun. I miss the old days of NBA Live when the graphics were such shit it was a video game and not real life.
I miss the days when every three you took went in with Peja Stojakovic. Now you have to be set completely, with room to shoot in order to drain a three. Look at the good ole days.
Now I can see Russell Westbrook’s fucking fade to the exact degree.
I mean Lonzo Ball looks more realistic in that picture than he does in real life. We’ve crossed the line. The graphics have somehow gotten too good and I can’t describe exactly why it’s bad it just is. Now we’ve got LeBron’s tattoo artist, who tattoos a bunch of NBA players, suing 2k cause it’s an identical copy of what they look like in real life. That’s absolutely insane that the graphics copied it that good to the point where this dude is upset.
I bet they’ve updated the game overnight so there’s a lady throwing up in the stands at Hawks games.
