Animaniacs Is Being Rebooted And Brought To Hulu

Animaniacs

Variety- “Animaniacs” is coming to Hulu, Variety has learned. Hulu, Amblin Television, and Warner Bros. Animation are partnering for a rebooted version of the classic cartoon series, which has scored a two-season, straight-to-series commitment at the streaming service.

Steven Spielberg will return as executive producer of the series, with Sam Register, president of Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, and Amblin Television co-presidents Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank also serving as executive producers. New episodes are set to premiere on the premium streaming service in 2020. Amblin Television will produce in association with Warner Bros. Animation.

In addition to announcing the new series, Hulu and Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution also inked a new pact that makes Hulu the exclusive streaming home to the complete library of all 99 episodes of the original series, as well as spinoff series “Pinky and the Brain,” “Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain,” and the complete “Tiny Toon Adventures” collection.

Biggggggg news in the entertainment world today. Big news for television. Big news for kids. And most importantly big news for parents that have been thissssss close to stabbing an ice pick in their eyes and ears as their kids watch the same shitty cartoons over and over. Finally new episodes of the Animaniacs (are going to) COME BACK to our televisions. Not only was Animaniacs hilarious, but some of their educational songs were straight up fire back in the day.

Not to mention their humor that was pretty edgy for the 90s even though some jokes they went over my dumb kid head.

Hopefully they keep that humor in there, which makes having to watch the same cartoon a billion times much more tolerable. Sure there is a chance all the bitchers and moaners on the internet will be offended and march to the Warner Brothers tower with pitchforks and torches. But that edginess is what made Animaniacs great. So bravo, Hulu. While everyone is sucking Netflix’s dick for Black Mirror, I appreciate you at least trying to keep up in the streaming race, even though rebooting oldies but goodies remains the hottest shit in the Hollywood streets.
