Ewan McGregor Has The Obi-Wan Hair/Beard Combo Back, Is Training, And Says He'd Be Happy To Reprise The Role

Hello there. I just published a 2200+ word blog on last night’s Golden Globes ceremony, but honestly, this was the only thing you truly need to see from the event. Obi-Wan Kenobi is back. Disney’s making this, there’s no doubt in my mind. It’s the spinoff story all of the fans want, and have wanted, since the second anthologies were announced. He’s got the hair. He’s got the beard. He’s getting in shape.

AND he wants to reprise the role. Clem and I have talked your heads off about it already, and I don’t think that’s gonna slow down any time soon. Ewan McGregor was given lines such as, “Only a Sith deals in absolutes!” in the prequel trilogy. He had to play off a guy saying, “If you’re not WITH ME…then you’re my ENEMY!” He deserves a solo film with a screenwriter who understands how people talk, and I think he’s gonna get it. This fan-made poster gives me a boner just thinking about the potential.

Glad to hear he loved The Last Jedi, too. Not that he’d say if he didn’t, but the way he brought it up makes me think he’s being genuine. Had no idea he was dating Mary Elizabeth Winstead either, that is a STRONG couple.
