Did Hope Hicks Die?

Look I’m as sad about Hope Hicks’ resignation as anybody. Anytime you lose your communications director it’s a sad day for America but when you lose the hottest communications director in American history it’s a tragedy. I’m a mess, many people are. Having said that, does it not seem weird as fuck that these West Wing reactions make it seem like Hope Hicks died? That she’s a dead person? That they’ll be flying flags at half mast today?

What the hell is going on here? Look I’ve only spoken with Hope briefly since yesterday’s news so I don’t know all the details but let me confirm this — Hope Hicks is very much alive.

The real takeaway here is that all of these comments are an undeniable testament to everything I’ve been saying. They’re a testament to everything that I’ve been talking about for the last year since I found out who Hope Hicks was. She’s perfect. She’s smart. She’s savvy. She’s gorgeous. She’s an absolute weapon; the White House is DEVASTATED to lose her. They’re grieving. The most powerful institution on planet earth is legit grieving because they lost their 29-year-old smokeshow rockstar. We’re getting more emotional, passionate reactions from the White House on Hope Hicks’ resignation than we did when Hurricane Maria wiped Puerto Rico off the face of the earth. It’s incredible.
