The Final Four Using A Buzzer That Sounds Like A Car Horn Is The Most Reckless Decision In The History Of Decisions
So I’m sitting here at my apartment. Enjoying a low key Saturday night and watching some Final Four hoops. Good times. We all got to see Sister Jean roll right out of the arena when she realized the Loyola dream was coming to an end. That made me laugh harder than I’ve laughed in a long time. It’s right up there with Jameis Winston dressing in full pads for a game he was suspended for. That’s my favorite sports moment of my entire life but Sister Jean bailing early is right up there. RIGHT up there.
Anyway. I’m watching the games and enjoying myself. And then something happened. A car started honking outside my window. It happened during the Michigan/Loyola game and I didn’t think much of it honestly. I looked out my window. Nothing. And then I noticed it happening again and again and again during the Villanova/Kansas game. It wouldn’t stop. I kept looking out my window. Still nothing. Then it kept on happening. I was ready to kill somebody. I was FED UP. I was ready to storm outside and put my hands on my hips. I was about to put out so many passive aggressive vibes on the sidewalk.
I was about to go out there and hit’em with this. Ya know, really put the fear of God into whoever was having a horn honking battle outside my window
Until I realized that, like a horror movie, THE HORN WAS COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE. It was my TV! For some fucking reason, the powers that be decided to make the buzzer at the Final Four sound EXACTLY like a car horn. It’s a carbon copy of a car horn. It might just be a recording of an actual car horn. How is that decision made? How is that decision made and then put into action? Part of me thinks it’s some sort of social experiment. They wanna see how many people they can make go outside and fight their next door neighbor. I bet neighborly assaults are up in a big way tonight. It’s crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it. This is the real March madness.
And it’s not just me. It’s driving literally everyone crazy
I’m upset. I’m mad online. I’m mad IRL. I had to mute my TV. My stupid brain now knows that it’s coming from the TV but I still look outside with blood-boiling rage every time the buzzer goes off. What a horrible decision. I want heads to roll. I wanna be able to put a face to the person who came up with this idea and then mock them. Mock them real good. God damn it. My night is ruined.
