Kuznetsov's Bird Celebration Is The Greatest

NHL: MAY 07 Stanley Cup Playoffs Second Round Game 6 - Capitals at Penguins

.

I remember blogging about Evgeny Kuznetsov back in very early 2014 when he was just a kid in Russia who we kept hearing about, but nobody knew when or if he was coming over. I was just a few months into this job, bright eyed and bushy tailed, blogging my buns off about this “Kuzy” kid, hoping he’d come to the United States and save the Caps. The blogs for the most part didn’t survive the DevNest days, but I was heavy on my J grind about young Kuzy

And now here we are, 4 years later. I’ve moved 4 different times, lost some hair, and even kissed a girl once. And Kuzy dropped the Penguins out of the Stanley Cup playoffs, on the road, in OT, IN PITTSBURGH.

And celebrated with his amazing bird celly:

It’s the best.

SportsNet - “I love to see the wings come out,” says teammate Tom Wilson. “That means he’s checked in and playing with fire. If he scores a big goal like that, I’m not going to tell him he can’t. Do whatever you want with your celebration.

“That’s just who Kuzy is. He’s an emotional catalyst. When he’s playing hard and he’s playing with emotion, that’s huge for our hockey club.”

Kuzentsov, who describes himself as “a gamer,” lifted the dance from the popular FIFA soccer video game.

Me: “Are you good at FIFA?”

Him: “Yes. Very good.”

As long as he keeps scoring, he can keep on flapping. And I hope it infuriates other fans. #MHGA
