Today I Interviewed Tommy Lee And He Called Me "Rad" And "Super Cool" - I Can Die Happy

I gotta be honest...today was pretty fuckin awesome for me.

We started things off by making some waves in the UFC world with my latest Dana White interview....

...and then I got to interview Tommy Lee, legendary drummer of Mötley Crüe, which was a biiiiig deal for me. HUGE, in fact.

On a personal level, it was probably the most excited/nervous I've been for an interview all year. I know that may surprise some of you, being I've interviewed some true 'dream guests' of mine in My Mom's Basement recently - The Undertaker, Triple H, Ric Flair, Glenny - but Tommy Lee is someone I've sorta idolized for my entire life....

As I've written about maaaany times before on here, pretty much all of my musical taste/taste in general comes from my older brother. He's a drummer, and growing up, there was not a single drummer on earth he idolized/wanted to emulate more than Tommy Lee. He was (and still is) Mötley Crüe crazy like I am Star Wars crazy. Posters and framed sticks all over his walls when he was younger, 'The Dirt' was his Bible, the whole fuckin nine.

So when he'd tell a little 2-3 year old Bob about Tommy Lee, and how untouchable he was behind the kit, and how legendary the stunts he would pull were, and all of that - he might as well had been tellin me about a superhero. He was just always this complete larger-than-life figure to me, and the more I grew up and learned about him, the more his larger-than-life legend grew! I couldn't BELIEVE all of the shit I was reading about him/watching him do.

Anyway, to make a long story short, this interview offer came along from the very talented talent booking team at Barstool (shoutout Kelly Martin) - and I just about shit myself. I did tons and tons of prep, reeeally trying to focus on the music he's worked on throughout his career (and not the normal crazy party stories I'm sure he's used to telling), and we seemed to hit it off during the chat!

So much so that he told KFC I was "rad" afterwards!

I feel like that's gotta be some sorta rock n' roll stamp of approval, right? Right?! It was pretty damn cool for me regardless.

Anyway, check out the full interview if you're interested. If you thought I was a Dana White nuthugger, just wait til you hear THIS ONE!
