The Former NYPD Officers That Now Protect Barstool And Dave Portnoy
Today on a special Christmas week episode of the show we welcome on two very interesting men. Pat and Mike were longtime NYPD officers with very distinguished careers. Both Brooklyn born, they entered the NYPD in the late 80's for Pat and Mike joined in early 90's.
Throughout their careers, they were involved with everything from the gang units, to mounted units to supervisory roles and more. We discussed September 11th and Pat sadly losing his brother who died that day. We also got into some pretty interesting stories as well as the current issues the department faces. Ultimately they'd both retire from the department and form a security company, at one point even bodyguarding for some interesting people. One day they were called to watch over a stream at Frank Borelli's fathers restaurant and the rest is history.
Now they protect people like Dave Portnoy and the Barstool offices. We discussed what that's like, the invasion from a troll a couple weeks ago, their favorite pizza, cases they came across in their storied careers and much more. A pretty unique episode.
Merry Christmas!
