Did You Know Bob From Bob's Furniture Is (Allegedly) Worth 26 BILLION Dollars?!
This was one of the more stunning revelations I've ever received in my life. I don't know that it's true true, I haven't asked for tax returns or read an article, but it's the top result on Google so to me it's true. Just an OBSCENE number. I guess he sold a good portion of the company to Bain Capital and got equity or something? Or maybe Bob's just rakes in that kind of cash? Or, probably the most likely, it's a Mattress Firm type front? Because he's not on a Forbes list so this seems like some sketchy cash that might get me killed for blogging it.
Whatever, the point is that Bob is worth an INSANE amount of money. I knew he was rich. Tens of millions wouldn't have surprised me, a hundred million probably wouldn't even have, but when we're throwing around B words I find myself completely flabbergasted. It can't be true. It just can't be.
