Ingredients:
- Ribs
- Spices
- Barbecue Sauce
Directions:
- Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel and remove the membrane from underneath the ribs if you can. This will make the ribs a little less chewy when they're done. If you can't get it perfectly off, they will still taste good, but it is good to remove it if you can. Once you've patted the ribs dry with a paper towel, season them with what you like. Accent (of course), garlic powder/salt, onion powder, pepper, and lemon pepper would all work well. These are seasonings that you often use and like, so they'd work here. You can also buy rib seasoning if you'd like or use something else. This is pretty much up to you, but use whatever you want on your ribs—season them well!
- Place the seasoned ribs in a lightly sprayed/oiled baking dish so they won't get stuck while baking. You can also use a tin baking dish and throw it away when you are done for easy cleanup. I usually do this, and it saves a lot of time on cleanup. Tin baking dishes are inexpensive at most stores.
- Place seasoned ribs in an oven preheated to 425 degrees and cook for one hour on the middle rack. Try to have the oven rack in the middle so the ribs aren't too close to the top to avoid getting burned.
- Once the hour is done, remove the ribs from the oven and coat them with your favorite BBQ sauce while keeping them in the baking dish. As you know, many different BBQ sauces are available, including sweet, smoky, tangy, KC style, Carolina style, etc., so go with a sauce you like.
- Place the ribs with the BBQ sauce on them back into the oven on the middle rack, preheated to 325 degrees, for one more hour. Once this second hour of cooking is done, remove the ribs from the oven and let them cool for at least 5-10 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board and then find the ends of the bones to cut between them once they have cooled down. They will be hot, so ensure they cool down before handling and cutting them.
- Once the ribs are done and cut, you can brush on a little more BBQ sauce if you'd like. Now it's time to enjoy your ribs, and cook them like this each time you want a delicious and easy way to prepare them!
