After the oil is hot add in the chicken. Cook for 5 minutes per side, remove, and set aside. To that same pan add in butter. Once the butter is melted add in the onion. </li><li style="font-weight:700">Cook for 15-20 minutes stirring every couple minutes. </li><li style="font-weight:700">Stir in French onion soup mix packet and water. Bring to a boil. </li><li style="font-weight:700">Add back in the chicken, cover with the sauce, switch heat to low, cover pan and cook for an additional 10 minutes. </li><li style="font-weight:700">Once chicken is cooked through top with provolone cheese.
