An Indiana Police Department Says That They'll Test Your METH For Coronavirus In These Trying Times
Fox 59--The Montpelier Police Department posted the PSA to their Facebook page, saying the drugs are from countries overwhelmed by the virus.
“Concerned about a Coronavirus outbreak in our community?? We at the Montpelier Police Department share your concerns… That’s why beginning Monday, you can bring your Meth, Heroine, Fentanyl, Carfentanil, Cocaine and other illicit street drugs in for FREE testing!! That’s right,…Free!! (for large quantities, please call ahead)
Like many of you, we know that several of these popularly used street drugs have made their way into our communities from countries that are overwhelmed with devastating Coronavirus outbreaks, meaning your stash could be contaminated.
The good people down at the Montpelier, Indiana Police Department just doing everything they can to serve and protect. The coronavirus is scary. Injecting a substance that has been known to kill people in your very town is called a rush. Injecting a substance that could be linked to a fairly deadly disease...NO. Can't have that. If people are going to die from their drugs they don't want it to happen because of some imported Chinese fentanyl cut with coronavirus. Get your drugs tested by the police!
I won't lie to you guys, I don't know if this is a real program or not. I feel like I am getting J-Mack'd, but I have read the article in more than one place now(two) and the articles make no jokes at any point. The original facebook post by the PD has been deleted.
Feels like it could be on an equivalent of when municipalities would provide heroine addicts with clean needles so they could die from an opoid overdose, but not from AIDS. It's either that or like my favorite police stings ever when they tell some southern deadbeat that he won tickets to the Iron Bowl just bring him in and arrest him for failing to pay child support. "Come on down to the Montpelier PD to get your drugs tested! Oh damn, your bag of meth tested positive. You're going to be quarantined for 10-15 years in the Michigan City State Prison". And away they go. I gotta say though...that feels like entrapment. I don't know the legal definition of entrapment, but if a meth head is willing to be a good citizen and make sure he doesn't infect innocent people by sneezing out what he put in to his nose then he should be allowed to go free. Gotta be safe when you're dabbling in Wuhan crank.
