This Is The Most Important Blog I've Ever Written: It's Cold As Tits In Chicago Right Now, But We're Down The Home Stretch Of Winter

It's fucking freezing in Chicago right now. Just miserable. Why in the fuck do we do this to ourselves? It's mind bottling. Like, a month or so prior to joining Barstool I was about to move to Scottsdale, AZ. I was offered a promotion with my old company to work out of our office there. I'm talking worst case scenario, Scottsdale gets down to the 40s for a week or two during the winter, but is often in the 60s and even 70s through most of winter. That's paradise. Fuck this bone chilling cold.

Then Barstool came along and I took the full time position here. I obviously love this company but this weather even makes me think "wtf did I do this for" and it's mostly because my dog is a huge pussy and won't shit or piss outside in this garbage. Can't say I blame him, either. I'd be acting like I was Costanza in India too if I had to shit outside. But I shit in toilets, so I'll stick to writing weblogs bitching about the weather.

Anyways - my original question was, "why in the fuck do we do this to ourselves?" and I'm about to answer it for you. We do it to ourselves because Chicago is the greatest summer city on the planet. That's just a fact. Sure our winters completely blow, especially in the midst of a global pandemic, but summers fucking ROCK. Concerts, two baseball teams (one of which is a dumpster fire and one of which is hellbent on winning the World Series), streetfests, parks, beaches, patios, rooftops, boats, and girls in sundresses. Try and beat that! You can't. So while we're balls deep in snow right now, just know that in a couple short weeks we have St. Patrick's Day followed by 5-6 months of awesomeness. Just take my word for it.

Hang in there my friends. We're down the stretch of winter - March will be good to us.
