We've Got Ourselves A Fight Over Gasoline In The Year 2021

He said he was waiting to get gas at the Marathon station around 2 p.m. when a woman in a white sedan tried to cut the long line.

When no one would let her in, Rashaad said she ran into a gray Honda at one of the pumps.

He said that, after crashing into the man's car, the woman got out and spit on the man while yelling.

The man then got out of the car and spit on the woman.

Rashaad said that's when the fight began. The video he took captured the two push and pull at each other for a while before police arrived.

The Raleigh Police Department and the Durham Police Department said they did not have any reports of fights at the pumps on Tuesday.

Just a good ole fashioned donnybrook at the gas station in 2021. 2021. This is not an old video from 1979. Pipelines hacked, prices are through the roof, and people are worried about being able to have gas at all. I can understand tensions being high. Gas stations where you're struggling to find an open pump is always frustrating. And that is normal circumstances where you have to wait mayyyyybbbeee 5 mins where you're behind someone in line. That sucks. What's even worse is when you're in a rental car that you don't really know and the tank is on the other side. You just pull in how you normally would in your car at home without checking. You grab the pump and look at your car and you just sink and let out a little defeated "....fuck" under your breath because you know you have no right to that spot. You gotta just get back in line and continue the suffering. I did that once at the Denver Airport and I wanted to murder everyone there. I wanted to ram my car into the guy ahead of me. I wanted to spit on them. I wanted to do all of that stuff...but I didn't because I am reasonable human being who is very well schooled in being miserable and stupid. That is clearly NOT the case for this woman. This is the spot where this guy is in an absolute no-win situation. You can't ever go after a woman physically. This woman hit his car, spit in his face, and you know what...he just has to sit there and take it. Wipe your face off with a McDonalds napkin that his been in your car door cupholder for 3 months and call the police. You get out of the car and only bad things can happen. She either murders you or you go to jail for some sort of battery. It is a MIRACLE that this was on tape and the police had no reports of it. Living to fight another day in another gas line.
