It's Hump Day For RA's Gambling Corner Feat. Murls
You should expect the unexpected in these last few nights of the regular season. Teams in the playoffs don't want to lose anybody to injury in a game that means squat. Teams out of the running don't even have the incentive of being a spoiler anymore. The remaining tilts are basically coin flips.
Tonight, I'm sticking with a team that has been pretty good to me this year. The Ottawa Senators have played their asses off and been in way more games than many thought. They're also coming off an embarrassing loss and will want to finish the season on a positive note. The Leafs are starting Freddie Andersen to get him some action after an injury layoff and AHL stint so he's not gonna be in mid-season form. We're taking the Sens +160 and -1.5 +340.
Good luck to all.
Friend of Spittin' Chiclets, son of The Capital District, and 17-year pro Matt Murley will also be sharing his picks here as well.
Murls Take: This time of year most teams have nothing to play for but Vegas still has a chance at the Presidents' Trophy and that all important home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. Add in the fact that Vegas is 7-0 vs the Sharks this year and I see this as a complete no brainer. Vegas bounces back from their last game like the dice off the back wall when you need a hard 8 to hit the point for the table!!! Vegas Baby!!
Murls Pick: Vegas 5 Sharks 2
Murley's Best Bet: Vegas three-way -150, side-car Vegas -1.5 +115
