Absolute BEAST! Dressel Wins Gold, Sets Olympic Record For The USA

It has been a fucking wild night for the United States in the pool, and we may have our best moment of the Olympics yet for Team USA as Caeleb Dressel becomes only the second American (Nathan Adrien the other) since Seoul 1988 to win the Men's 100m Freestyle in Swimming.

He also took down Eamon Sullivan of Australia's Olympic Record that had stood since Beijing 2008. Anytime a record in the LZR Racer bodysuits falls is a good night.

Then right after the swim he got to chat with his family. If you're a crier, get the fucking tissues ready...

Shiiiiiiiiit... after watching that...

I get if you don't like the Olympics, I guess, but if you do, this is what the event is all about. The emotion, the passion, the energy… everything right here is why it matters and why we watch.

As I said, it's been a big night in the pool for the United States. We had an insane moment as Robert Finke won Gold for the United States in the Men's 800m Freestyle (the first ever Men's version at the Olympics).

This was the first win for the United States in a distance men's freestyle race since Los Angeles 1984.

Meanwhile, the United States was on the podium for the Women's 200m Butterfly for the first time since 2000, and had two on there for the first time since Munich 1972 as Regan Smith won Silver and Hali Flickinger won Bronze.
