Jamie Dimon Of JP Morgan Says Bitcoin Is Worthless And Now I Don't Know What To Think
We literally JUST did a podcast for 45 minutes about Bitcoin with our former resident, Bitcoin Marty, and I am not going to lie...he sold me.
Everything he said in that podcast made sense to my dumb brain despite my best efforts to do some hole punching and thread pulling. I was ready to jump in and then poof. Jamie Dimon, the head of one of the largest financial institutions in the world gets up there and claims that the entire thing is worthless.
I mean what is his problem? What's his criticism? That it isn't tied to anything physical? That it only has value because a group of people all decided that it had value? That it is volatile? That a central bank and/or traditional institutions can't control it? Hmm... I don't know. Let's see how worthless it is so far relative to Dimon's narrative over the years
Hmmmm…that's weird. I am just your average idiot who is curious about different things, but it feels like you can level many of the same criticisms
Full disclosure…I still don't really know what to think of crypto and bitcoin. I am very interested. It plays to some of my core values. I am just not sure I trust it long term, but Marty did a great job of breaking everything down for me and Eddie. Full episode linked below
