Brad Marchand Calls Out NHL Owners Over Their Decision To Pull The Olympics While Expanding Rosters With Taxi Squads To Protect Their Own Interests

Thank you to TSN for censoring out the vile word "sh*t" in Marchand's tweet. It was distracting.

Anyways...

I love money. I love capitalism. I also hate how EVERYTHING has become about money. Marchand hit the nail on the head with this. Let the players make their own choices. Adults should always be allowed to make their own choices. There are clearly players in the league who take tremendous pride in wearing their country's emblem across their chest. For Marchand this is going to be his only chance to compete for Team Canada on the Olympic stage. I think we were all disappointed, as fans, when the NHL didn't allow players to compete in 2018. Not doing it now after all the bullshit for the last two years is incredibly frustrating because seemingly zero progress has been made. Marchand is also frustrated about that too

"We definitely have to get to that. The NBA is there. The NFL is going there now. We're going to be next. We have to get there soon. If guys are fine, there's no reason they shouldn't be able to play," said Marchand on Sunday.

"It's tough. This whole thing's tough. There's a valid argument on both sides. This could be the new norm, with the variant coming around every year. It's something we're going to have to live with. We can't be doing this year and year out. At some point, we have to get back to some normalcy. Guys have done what they're supposed to do and got vaccinated and all that stuff," he said.

I don't know what the answer is. I don't want to play Wizard Of Oz on this shit. I do typically side with the thinking that adults should be allowed to make their own decisions.
