Taylor Hall Fined $5K For Reaction That Leafs Fans And Fanboy Media Wanted A Suspension For
In last night's Leafs/Bruins game, Toronto's Ilya Lyubushkin hit Boston's Taylor Hall right on the numbers and sent him sprawling face-first into the boards. The normally placid Hall took exception to the potentially dangerous hit and popped Lyubushkin in the side of the melon, sending the defenseman to the ice. Lyubushkin was not penalized and Hall was given two minutes for roughing.
Shockingly, Leafs fans and their loyal media thought the Bruin should be suspended. Let's take a look at some of their reactions...
"lock for at least a 2 game suspension"
"shades of Todd Bertuzzi"
"Suspension incoming?" Yeah, maybe for editing out the Lyubushkin it.
Ya, sonk.
This is getting comical now.
You can find about 15,000 more of these with a simple Twitter search. Gotta love Leafs media fans. But they all fell on deaf ears.
Hall was fined $5000 for his reaction. No suspension. Stay hot Leafs fans/media.
Here's hoping that Lyubushkin is fine.
