Bears Trade Justin Fields To Steelers For A 6th Round Pick
It's St. Patrick's Day Eve.
All of Chicago is drunk right now or has the post day drinking headache/hangover hovering all while we officially turned the page on the Justin Fields era.
Like I said in the video this is really a two-fold situation. Justin didn't take that next step last year after an awesome 2022 and the Bears were presented an opportunity to draft what many are saying is a generational Quarterback. It's really that simple.
It sucks it didn't work out because everybody in Chicago was so convinced after that 2022 season. I'll never forget being close to out on him after that Thursday night game and then JF1 came back in the Monday night game against New England and looked like a completely different Quarterback. He then carried that into the rest of the season where the rest of us gutted out a 3-14 year kind of contently because we thought we had our guy and just had to improve everything else around him.
Then 2023 happened...
And he reverted back to old Justin.
Then couple that with the Panthers securing us the #1 pick that there's just no way the franchise could roll the dice on a 4th year. It's also kind of telling that Poles was only able to get a 6th rounder for him.
So that marks the end for Chicago & Justin. I'm sad that it didn't work out, but am excited for the future. I don't know if he'll ever tap into what made him so special during that stretch in '22, but I hope he he can somehow work his way back and end up having a solid NFL career. Zero love lost.
But, now I'm ready for the future.
CW1. Let's ride.
