The Zach Lavine Era Is Finally Over In Chicago. Bulls Trade Lavine To Sacramento In Three-Way Deal

The Chicago Bulls rebuild has officially begun...again. This is the right move for the Bulls. At least they have chosen a direction (absolutely sucking) instead of trying to move forward with what they have and sneak into the playoffs as the 10 seed only to eventually get smoked by either a slightly more mediocre team in the play-in tournament or if they are lucky...get absolutely smoked by an actual good team. So this is good, but it comes along with one big long fucking fart noise that is another disappointing Chicago sports franchise. The Bulls are blowing it up and nobody cares. The games aren't on TV and nobody cares. The Bulls immediate future is going to be miserable and their long term future is tied to lottery balls and teenagers. And nobody cares. The Reinsdorfs have put the fan base to sleep. Most of us only remembered they were playing ball this year because Shams told us about this trade. 

The Lavine era was fun for about 2 months. That stretch of games with Lonzo, Lavine, Demar, Vuc, and Caruso led the Bulls to the 1 seed for a minute. It was attractive basketball. Nobody had delusions of Championships with that group, but it was nice to watch a team in December that wasn't a complete embarrassment. We hoped that maybe they could win one playoff series. That would've been a welcomed change. Nope. Lonzo's knee exploded and it was never the same. The Bulls have just been wasting time ever since. 

The rebuild didn't work. It always had a ceiling. And now the tear down is a complete joke

That's a pathetic return. AK was hired 4/13/2020 and has literally NOTHING to show for it. Oh and he used a top 4 pick on Patrick Williams. If the Reinsdorfs are who we think they are then AK still has all the job security in the world. No fan pressure because nobody even remembers that the Bulls exist. They can go from purgatory to hell and back again and unless there's news like today it'll be met with an eye roll. So sad what they've let this organization become.
