You could feel the buzz in New York City before the NBA Draft lottery. The pain of the 2018-2019 season would have been validated with #1 pick Zion Williamson. The Knicks had to settle for the #3 pick RJ Barrett, but they still had a shot at high-caliber free agents, right? KD and Kyrie were gonna team up and bring New York back to basketball relevance. But just when you thought maybe the Knicks could assemble top FA talent to pair with No. 3 overall selection RJ Barrett … KD and Kyrie picked the other team in New York, the red-haired step brother. Sorry, Knicks fans. You hate to see it.
