Finding Winners With This Saturday MLB Board
Brewers ML
We get to see a great pitching match up later today featuring Brandon the bulldog (Not sure if that’s a nick name for him but it is now,) Woodruff and Luis Castillo. Woodruff continues to be an absolute beast on the bump only giving up 1 run in his last 4 starts. Don’t get me wrong, I have had success backing Castillo and this Reds team but Castillo faced the Brewcrew earlier in the year and he gave up 5 runs in 5 innings which just isn’t going to cut it when matched up with The Bulldog. I expect Woodruff to out pitch Castillo and keep the Reds bats at bay. Also think with the way the Brewers have been hitting they will give Woodruff enough run support to cash this bet
Astros ML
Taking my squad here but this is not a homer bet. The Astros have been one of the best teams in baseball all year and only seem to play up to better teams. On the other hand the White Sox seem to just beat up on bad teams and really struggle against teams with a winning record. Not to mention Giolito was giving up homers like party favors before the All Star break. I might have heard a rumor about him being one of the main pitchers who has been underperforming since the substance crack down. The Astros have Odorizzi on the mound today, and unlike Giolito, he has pitched very well recently logging a 1.04 ERA over his last 6 starts. With the way the Astros have been mashing and the pitching matchup I see a lot of value at this price
Giants ML
This is probably my favorite play of the day. Now that I have said this the Giants will probably get wrecked, but we move forward. The Giants were one of the hottest teams in baseball the first half of the year so riding this wave until it crashes. Tonight they have DeSclafani on the hill who posted a 1.69 ERA in June and a 1.23 ERA thus far in July. Not too shabby. Kim for the Cards has been relatively solid and I can see why people are looking at them for the value. However the Giants bats are just too hot and plus Kim is a lefty, and the Giants mash lefties. Give me the Giants here on the moneyline to end this Saturday slate.
