CM Punk: 'I've Never Felt This Much Energy In This Business'
Tonight is a massive night for the wrestling business.
Two years ago, All Elite Wrestling made its television debut on TNT with AEW Dynamite, which airs each Wednesday night. While the company has seen critical and commercial success thus far, we may be staring at the tip of the iceberg.
Tonight, AEW makes its New York City debut when it takes over Arthur Ashe Stadium for a live edition of Dynamite. Over 20,000 people are expected to be in attendance and the TV audience is anticipated to be AEW's biggest yet.
Ahead of this huge show, new AEW star CM Punk joined me on Tuesday to talk about where the business is in 2021.
The topics included:
- His decision to return after a 7-year absence.
- Which young stars he wants to work with in AEW.
- Who exactly is the best wrestler in the world?
- And what this pop felt like...
Holy shit I love pro wrestling.
AEW Dynamite airs each Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
