Vergil Ortiz Jr HATES Betting The Over
FULL DISCLOSURE: Ortiz and I never spoke about gambling, so I couldn't even tell you if he's ever placed a bet in his life.
However, I do know that IF you have been trying to make a living betting Vergil's fights would go the distance, THEN you haven't been doing well... At all.
Vergil Ortiz Jr. and Michael "The Problem" McKinson are set to meet on Saturday, Aug. 6, from Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The fight card will air live and exclusively on DAZN.
McKinson is a 22-0 Southpaw from England who tends to go the distance (only 2 KOs in 22 fights).
Vergil, on the other hand, is 18-0 with a 100% KO rate and an average ring time of 3.5 rounds/fight. He is a heavy favorite to win this weekend, and the Barstool Sportsbook is BEGGING me to take the under at 8.5 rounds… So I am going to go against that trick and say McKinson drags Vergil into deeper waters than he's ever been in before Ortiz takes him out in 10.
Enjoy the fights and take a report.
