One Of The Most Intense Scenes In TV History: Brodie's Suicide Vest In S1 Of Homeland

Couple things about this episode of Homeland:

The plot to get Brodie’s vest through the metal detectors is awesome. Its one of those Hollywood plots where you’re sitting at home saying “Yup, I think that would actually work.”

Brodie holding a huge red trigger in his hands for a little while is pretty goddamn silly though.

Brodie was originally supposed to successfully detonate the vest. The writers said that the chemistry between Carrie and Brodie was too good and the story line was too good so they kept. I always love behind the scenes tidbits like that. Looking back on how much the show fell off, I wish they had just stuck to the script.
