I Tried Out For The Manhattan Pride Semi-Pro Basketball Team And It Did NOT Go Well

So I was recently sent an email from an unnamed employee asking if I wanted to cover a pride event. (Hint, he’s 4’5″ and from Zimbabwe.) Initially I was thrilled, but then I did a little research and found that the “pride event” was actually just a semi-professional basketball tryout called “Manhattan Pride.” Was it an honest mistake? Probably, but I decided to try out for the team anyway. I’m still waiting for a call back but I’m hopeful, kind of. Check it out.
