Longtime Toolies: Top Ten Tools PLUS My Biggest Waste of Money Yet

Closing out our top ten list. It’s been a busy week for ole Kyle and me.

On Tuesday I headed out to Bandera, Texas to meet up with a fella im calling Cowboy Mike. I saw a Facebook ad that advertised some free logs and, from the picture, it looked like mesquite and oak. Mesquite is a hard wood that ranks up there with Mahogany but it’s a terrible wood for BBQ. The oak is also good for some building and crafts but it’s the best for BBQ so I was interested in the loot.

After radio Monday night, I messaged and called Cowboy Mike. Here’s what he had to say.

I went and loaded up the wood and my entire body has paid the price. These old bones aren’t what they used to be.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to using all top 10 tools on this wood and other woods.
